The Face Behind the Blog:
My name is Joanna Stich, I’m from Poland & currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia since January 2020. I have lived in Ireland since August 2004 until our move to Canada. I married my husband Warren who is Irish in June 2017 in Algarve, Portugal. I have previously lived in the United States for two years and I feel as that’s where my heart truly lays.
Being a foreign national living abroad with wide possibilities, triggered my passion for travel. Whilst living in New York I was exposed to the lavish lifestyle of a city that never sleeps and as a result the idea behind my blog grew.
Blogging
I started my blog on the 4th of June 2016 under the name of “From The Outer Side”. The idea behind the name was that for the longest time I was the only foreign girl in my school and always felt a little bit of an outsider. Why? Because in 2004 there weren’t many foreign nationals in Ireland and people were only getting used to the idea of having “us” around. After sometime that turned to my advantage as that made me “different” and stand out from the crowd.
From The Outer Side has been nominated for Best Newcomer Blog in The Irish Beauty Blog Awards 2017. To be nominated in the first place is a huge achievement for me in itself.
Once I started being serious about my blogging “From The Outer Side” name became too long and unpractical for social media and many other marketing reasons. I then started searching for a new name that would reflect me and would have a ring to it. Jetsetting is pretty self-explanatory as I blog about travel & my husband came up with a Bombshell. I like the idea of all of us finding that inner Bombshell within. Since the re-branding Jetsetting Bombshell has been nominated for the best Lifestyle Blog by V by Very and Best Newcomer Blog in Irish Beauty Blog Awards 2017; won a Liebster Award 2017 and Been Named as one of the Top Luxury Lifestyle Blogs of 2017 by Feedspot.
I have since, taken a little break from blogging due to a change in my career and focus on visa related process which took a lot of my spare time. I now mainly “blog” about our move and first steps in Vancouver, BC. I do feel like I have outgrown the name Jetsetting Bombshell as I have just turned 30 this year, re-branding my “blog” once again to my name was the mature direction to go with.
My blog is mainly focused on travel as mentioned above and lifestyle. As a busy, working wife I come across plenty random things on daily basis which I mainly share on my Social Media Channels.
That’s me in a nutshell, I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing it.
